Håkon Haakonsen is happy with his girlfriend Sigrid and her son David. Then both of them disappear.
Sigrid’s violent ex-boyfriend Muhammad has escaped from prison, and an elderly woman is run over and killed on a deserted road outside Sandefjord without anyone coming forward. At the same time, David has had greater problems at school than Håkon could ever have imagined. Are all these events connected?

Myriam H. Bjerkli (b. 1963) is a publisher, author, and translator. She made her crime fiction debut in 2017 with Lille Linerle (The Little Linerle), which received glowing reviews. For The Green-Eyed Monster (2022) she won the Silver Knife award and was nominated for the Riverton Prize.
